The wealth of information I received at this workshop was well worth the trip. Steve's generosity in sharing his resources that took hours to prepare was unbelievable. If you truly want to be a better AP teacher, "go there"! His energy and passion for the subject is contagious. Information, activities, and participant sharing were extraordinary. Steve Reff is the most knowledgeable economics instructor I know. His presentations are both informative and entertaining. I am so excited about the "CD" he gave each of us to utilize in a classroom. Macroeconomics requires a very clear understanding of the foundations and basics. "Reffonomics" emphasizes the building blocks and therefore makes the rest of the course almost self taught. This allows ample time for test preparation. Something I have not had time for in the past. . . . ALL useful, informative and will enhance/reshape what I do. Only minor problem, I wanted to stay longer and do even more. Great presentations; exciting new approach to teaching economics. The seminar demonstrates the use of cutting edge technology in the economics classroom. I learned advanced placement economics content, effective teaching strategies and excellent classroom management skills. I am a better teacher because of my participation in this workshop. My students will perform better because I am better prepared. |
